An exhibition in celebration of "Jonathan Kenworthy: Sculpture and Works on Paper" with Introduction by Catherine D. Willis and Essay by John Heminway, available for purchase at the Gerald Peters Gallery Bookstore. Copies will be available to be signed at Gerald Peters Gallery, New York from January 28th to February 2nd during regular business hours.
"Jonathan Kenworthy Sculpture and Works on Paper" is the first comprehensive history of this supremely gifted and original artist. It includes a catalogue raisonné and begins by recording the artist¹s early promise and start at the Royal College of Art in 1954. Illustrated by Steve Russell¹s beautiful photographs, the book follows his glittering student career at the Royal Academy Schools and the development of his art over five decades. His continued acclaim and success as an artist, together with documentaries on his work, exhibitions and commissions have enabled him to maintain his own pace and control of his artistic vision. The dedication of a lifetime fed by the extensive travels, which have marked and inspired his art can be seen clearly on these pages.
