Biography

Photographer Dan Budnik’s prestigious career as a photojournalist has been shaped by his intimate and human portrayals of the abstract expressionist artists of the New York School, by his timely witnessing of the major figures and human struggles of the Civil Rights movement during the late 1950s and ’60s, and by his activism on environmental issues such as strip mining on lands sacred to the Hopis and Navajos.
